Just replaced the turn signal plate under steering wheel, Brake lights will not work unless you put pressure on turn signal lever towards the floorboard... Any suggestions

Might want to post this in the "EB" section....... :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

There's a whole bunch-o-wires that run up/down that str. column.

They exit on bottom of column, just a few inches behind the dash.

That may be a good place to start.

& what was the situation B/4 replacing the plate..??

Thanks Bully,

I was tired of looking down and seeing the blinker light running 20 min after turning the corner!!

Yes I also replaced the shifting collar on the steering collum , due to breakage. So I had to pull the wires out of the steering collum!! I think the butt joints I used to re-attach the wires may be to big, If so I will go to Bronco graveyard and get another whole set up... Would you recommend OEM or after market, the price is exactly half????

The difference may be in the contacts and hardware associated with them. OEM is made to original manufacturer specifications, NON-OEM usually skimps some place, that is why they are less expensive.

Good luck,

:)>-

Hi Boom..,

Don't know where you are  as your info. pages are still blank [-X but., Toms has the whole enchilada for $35-45, with., or W/O the hazard switch wires. Manual or automatic.

Part #'s 3791 -92 -93 (I'm sure they're aft. mkt & they don't show any oem)

You're way ahead of me as I've only changed (eons ago) the plastic cam on mine.

Agree with Seabronc but in this case., I think it's (aft. mkt.) at least equal. I would ask the supplier what they use., & if they've had any returns....they will usually "step-up" if there's a prob.
