73 ford bronco

I have a 73 Ford Bronco that still has all orginal parts. Its in poor shape but i am going to restore and give to my son for his first truck in about 3 years. My question is there are a couple of air valve's under each seat which appear to go to shocks. Is this something that came on as ORGINAL or is it aftermarket. Please help

In '76, it was a dealer installed option, so the original owner could have had that installed.
