Hi everyone. This is my first time posting so please bear with me. My 1992 ford bronco's 5.0 engine knocks at startup for about 5-10 sec is this something to worry about. And some oil seems to be leaking from the air intake box.

This is normal on most vehicles. There is no oil in the engine, it's all in the pan and it takes a few seconds for the oil to get to all the parts. Thats why you are hearing that knocking sound for a few seconds.

You should use some kind of oil additive that will stick to the parts to minimize the knocking.

the oil from the air intake box is coming from the crankcase breather hose, mine does the same thing. it could be the piston rings or the valve stem seals need replaced.
