I have major issue i cannot get the inner nut off once i have removed the hubs/inner nut and tab washer to replace and pack my bearings. My auto hub on the driver was whinning and when i removed the bolts the hub just fell out in about 6 pieces, i have new manual Warn hubs to replace the original ones. I need a little help with ideas on how to get the inside nut off it will come off about half way then freeze up. once again thanks

this may be a stupid question but your are using a spindle nut socket right? if not autozone lends them out for free.do you see any crossthreading in the threads of the axle? try heatint the nut with a torch that will make the nut expand a bit . using the torch is a good idea too if your wheel bearing is stuck on the axle just heat it up a few minutes and use a chisel and hammer to slide it off

Ok so the outer nut comes off easy and the inner nut comes part the way off then locks tight ? this would def indicate crossthreading or atleast damaged threads kind of between the outter nut and the inner nut

Not exactly sure as to what you're talking about..as I've only seen the inside of my hubs twice.

I do know when I changed the hubs from auto to manual, the inner clip of some sort was a PITA to get out. Took nearly 30min on each side just trying to get it to come out. Just know it can be hard, especially if you don't have the right tools.

Good luck,

Racking my brain tring to figure a wat to get in there to see the threads. maybe run the nut back down tight clean all the grease from the threads and use a bright flash light and possibably a mirror to inspect the threads all the way around the hub to determine if they are damaged. if they are damaged you may could use a dremil to grind the bad section down, clean all the metal dust out and then be able to remove the nut. afterwards clean and inspect the nut and hub to determine if they could be reused or if they must be replaced. I am not completely sure how easy or if this is actually doable. I am sure if you try to use a cold chisle to cut the nut that will damage the threads beyond use.
