I own A 1994 Ford Bronco. It has the electronic 4x4 and auto locking hubs but when I engage 4 High I here both the tcase and the hubs locking yet when I drive my front wheels have no power and same thing happens for 4 lo I here the engagement but still no power. I checked underneath and nothing looks broken from the outside. I opened the hubs and i dont see anything that looks broken. Need any help on trying to fix.

Welcome to the Zone :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> . My first question is, what tells you that you are not getting any power to the front wheels? Do you have jack stands you can put the vehicle up on? If so, put it up on jack stands and see if the drive shaft turns and the axles turn. Check that the front drive shaft actually turns when in 4x4 HI or LO. If not, turn the drive shaft by hand and see if the axles turn with it.

Good luck,

P.S. Put your truck vitals in your signature for future reference and questions. It makes the answers more accurate, sometimes :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> .

yo, Another WELCOME!

Ez tip first;

Have someone get under and whack the Xfer case motor w/rubber mallet; try 4x4 ops; if no go, then 'spect connectors.

Motor looks just like this one from our Sponsor, Jeff's Bronco Graveyard

Long Version... take time and sit down and read this;

Four Wheel Drive (4X4) General Information, Operation & Troubleshooting TSB 92-1-8 for Bronco, F Series & Ranger (COMPLETE); Includes Electric Shift On The Fly (ESOF) Troubleshooting & Hub Operation; same for 87-96;Source: by Ford via Chilton

For now, begin @ page 9, Nothing Happens (Dead System)

Borg Warner 1356 Electric Shift Motor Typical Failures & Prevention;

Usual issue is that motor travel stop breaks when it returns to 2WD.

water or mud intrusion. inspect motor wiring harness and connector.

periodically use 4-wheel drive mode & drive a bit fwd & rev in a straight line during non-winter/off roads months

Thank you both for the welcome :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />. The way I checked to fully know i had no front power was that I drove my truck up and dirt hill and my rears were the only thing spinning. I will get someone to take an look at the shaft while I move it. AFter that I shall get back to you.

Ok so its my hubs that are bad. I had my father mechanic come and take a look. Im going to replace them with Manual locking hubs so that I can know they are working or not.
