Bill,

If you are replacing a 302 with a 351 Windsor, you will only need to make sure the 351 has all it's accessories.

The mounting points for the alt, p/s and the pulley depths on the Windsor are just different enough that without adaptor brackets, the 302 accessories will not work.

I have found it easier to swap in a complete donor engine, than to buy or fabricate the needed brackets.

Just make sure that the flexplate you use is from the 351, and that the t/c bolt pattern is the same (mine measures approx 7 3/8" stud to stud, or approx 10.5" across the convertor pilot) and you are set.
