I just purchased a 68 Bronco and it ran great for the first week but now its making a tapping noise from the the right valve cover and it started back firing. I'm not a motor head but I want to fix the problem myself. I think its a fowled plug, it sounds like its missing. Can anyone point me in the right direction. I appreciate the help.

Naw,

A plug would just cause a miss in the exhaust sound.

Good news/bad news.....

1)could be just a sticky lifter...put in some "Marvel Mystery Oil" ;) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

2)could be a bad rocker arm &/or a bent push rod.

Worst case... <_<

3)a colapsed lifter.

4)a cam lobe going flat.

3 & 4 req. eng. dismanteling but not really hard....3 banana job.
