Hey guys, Just a quick question if you don't mind. I have a '68 302 that I'm rebuilding to put in a '70 Bronco. I'm basically rebuilding it to stock with some slight modifications. I'm boring it .30 over and putting a 4v intake and 600 cfm carb on it. I'm wanting a cam that's slightly more aggressive than stock but still streetable. Any suggestions? Thanks, Lance

Hi Lance.,

Keep in mind that "home engineering" can lead to no gain, & in some cases, less performance.

As I understand it., one should start with the "cam" of choice, then install the carb. & exhaust to match.

Many cam mfgrs. list the carbs that match a specific cam grind.., & sometimes list the need for headers.

In your case, what's usually called & "RV cam" would prob. be a good choice.

Sounds like you play in the dirt soooo., you should be looking at low end grunt. This is in the 2500 RPM range & below.

Thanks! I've already been in touch with some cam manufacturers for their suggestions also. I was jujst wondering if some of the guys on here were running something similar and had suggestions for what works best together for my application. Thanks!
