Petersen's 4Wheel & Offroad magazine had a good three-part series of articles on building a link suspension. There's also some good searching you can do on www.pirate4x4.com. I've only seen one fullsize Bronco with a 4-link rear, using Ford Aerostar van coil springs. CAGE Offroad makes a really nice set of extended radius arms that are prolly beefier than any link you can build for the front. I've seen several Broncos using these arms when they do the SAS, JSM84

That's what I've done with the 1-ton axles under my 84 Bronco, running stock leafs front and rear for now. I did pcik up a pair of 4" lifted front leaf packs, just haven't put them in yet. It's not as flexy, but much simpler to buld. Cheaper, too. I estimated the parts to buld the link suspension at about $2300, and that was 2-3 years ago. may be more like $3000+ now. I saw a pic of my friend's Bronco with the 4-linked rear, hang on while I find it. Here's the link at FSB to Appy's write-up, flex pics on page two:

To put a leaf spring front axle like the Dana60 I have under the Bronco is simple, just need to make a crossmember for the front hangers and mount hangers with shackles on the back of the front leaf springs. Check out my thread in the forums here at Bronco Zone. hard part is finding an axle for under $1000!!!

With thte stock f-350 front leaves, I have 4-5 inches of lift over the stock Bronco height. This matches up with the rear shackle flip which also gave me 4" lift in the back.

yes, the two stock leafs are stiff and bouncy. I have a pair of 4" lifted front springs that I'll install in their place after I get the engine and drivetrain done. I also want to flip the u-bolts so they're sticking up toward the top of the springs rather than pointing down and getting banged up. I already have some plates to mount on top of the lifted leaf pack, but I need to cut a notch in the driver's side housing web for the inner u-bolt to fit, and cut off the factory bottom bracket on the passenger side of the axle. I would look for an 80-97 F-350. Mine came from the 88 truck, and we're doing another Bronco with an 86 truck drivetrain. IF you find the whole truck with a 460, you have the entire drivetrain. The 80-87 is carbed, 88-up is EFI. JSM84
