I am in the process of rebuilding my 5.0 but I really need to get the bronco running again. I ran out of money for the time being so I am stuck. My dad has a 3.0 V6 that he rebuilt and it only has about 5000 miles on it. I was wondering if anyone knew if it would fit in a bronco, as far as bolting up to the bell housing and motor mounts. And if it would if anyone knows where i could get a new wiring harness for it. Thanks for the help

Yeah. The 4.9 Inline 6 ias about as small as I'd go. One as small as you're talking about may not even be worth it. I'm not even really sure many, if any, V6s out there would be worth putting in a Bronco. If you're gonna do a 6, you'll need something with a lot of power. Inline works, but V may not work so well. Think about it. Even with nothing but a stock vehicle, you're still trying to move 5,000 lbs.

i don't think that will bolt up to the trans- and i know that you'll have to make custom motor mounts- you'll also need both wiring harnesses and a wiring picture and figure out what goes where.... anything is possible, but not sure it's worth it- might be more expensive by the time you're done- find a cheap 5.0 out of a junk yard for now- see if they'll trade for the V6.. good luck

Thanks for the help so far. I never thought of trading the v6 that might help alot. I have found two engines so far. both are 5.0's. One has 178,000 miles on it and the want $500 for it and the other one has 107,000 for $550. I am just afraid of buying a used one and then it breaking also.
