Howdy..

wondering if a 255 v8 would drop right in to my 76 bronco, and bolt up to my c4? Stock 302 is tired and needs crank work so just looking at all options. (rebuild, reman, find one like this done ready to drop in)

1981 Ford Mustang 255 Small Block V8

Professionaly Rebuilt by a machine shop, Polished & Blue printed Block & Heads, High lift Cam, Double Roller Chain, Bored .060 over stock

Polished Aluminum EdelBrock Intake for a 302

another one im looking at is a fresh rebuild 1991 roller 302 for about the same money.

Thanks!

K. found another option...its a fresh early 80's 302. Has everything on it including pulleys and harm balancer but no flexplate. i can find a flexplate. Will this bolt right up to my 76 bellhousing etc?

got the motor in and running like a dream! now if i could just get my oil pan gasket to seal right i'd be all the way happy! nothing worse then brand new shiny motor and everything only to have it drip oil :( Im using the felpro 1 piece gasket. might just buy a new pan and gasket and try again. got new tires on too and a new brake booster. stops on a dime!
