hey guys how are you all doing.

I just cleaned my engine I used that engine bright stuff. Any way I went out the next day and turned the truck on and it started just fine, but the low amp battery light came on. When i rev it up the light flickers out but comes right back on when the rpms comes back down.

I hope you guys have an easy answer for me, I would really like to keep this fix cheap and not have to replace the

Alt or something else big..

Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appriciated...

Thanks again

Moses

I would have the alternator checked out at your local parts store, since that light indicates a problem with the alt charging the battery. Whenever you clean the engine, it's good to wrap the alt in plastic to keep water or other fluids out. The engine cleaner may have gotten inside the alt and could either be temporary or permanent damage. JSM84

that is definatly a voltage regulator issue, and since the regulator is in the alternator its an alternator issue, i believe the best course of action is to just replace it
