i have a 1992 bronco and am looking for to get 2 to 3 inch lift and i was wondering if there were any alternatives to the expensive lift kits they offer. such as buying each part seperatly. and also is it recomended or ok to use spacers or blocks for the leaf springs and the front coil springs? or is that not a good idea?

please help, thanks

There just ain't no cheap way to do any lift. A kit is your best bet...like skyjacker or rancho. You're much better off to replace your springs and coils. Of course, all your arms, brake lines, etc. must be replaced too, so...that's something you've got to consider. Just think it's about $800 or more per inch of lift....no matter which way you go. That's why i don't have a lift at the moment.

you can get a full lift for under 1500 if u shop around, i advise you DONT use blocks or spacers, get lift coils for the front and since u only want a small lift an add-a-leaf should be enough for the rear, i trust in skyjacker for quality, but if u dont know whatyou are doing lifting your truck, take it to soemone who does, it can be a pain, esp with the TTB front ends, good luck :)>-
