Good Afternoon!!

Just bought my first Bronco!! 1989 with a 104,000 miles for $3K! It has the 351w with the C6 transmission. I am already having problems with my transmission  :((  When it is cold it is shifting from 1st to 2nd it slips SUPER SUPER bad. When it warms up it still slips but not as bad. Im going to have to rebuild or replace it before it leaves me stranded. I had an 1983 GMC jimmy with the 700r4 with overdrive and that was a nice transmission. SOOOOO my question is, Do they make a 3 speed with overdrive to where i can just pull out the C6 and just easily put in the new (to the car) transmission? What is the best option that i have to do here?

-Thanks

They sure do!  Guess what?  You should have it!!  I have an 88 E/B and it's got it too!  Your trans should be an AOD.  I don't think they put the C6 in the Bronco, hense the AOD.  3 Speed with overdrive that kicks in at around 45mph.  I think they switched to the E4OD in 90.  Your trans went out about the same milage my 88 had on it when it died and I got it rebuilt.  I have 192,000mi on it now and it still runs great.  I could be wrong on my trans history, but there should be a pinned post above with trans info.  Good luck!
