Here is my problem, i have an 86 full size bronco with the 5.0 fuel injection. I can start it but when i shut it off it won't restart until it sits for awhile. it always ran great until i took off the throttle body when i reinstalled the throttle body it started but would not restart after starting. i did put a new throttle body gasket on it. anyone know what the problem is?

The most likely candidate is the ignition TFI module on the distributor, or the battery (-) connection to the engine block. Does it even turn over when it is hot?

Before throwing money at it though, when it won't start, check the spark by pulling a plug and see what kind of spark you get from the wire to the block. it should be a good strong arc at least 1/4 inch long.

Good luck,

:)>-

yes it will crank over when it is hot, but it doesn't matter whether engine is hot or cold it still won't start after starting and shutting it off

Have you isolated between fuel and spark? A weak or no spark could be coil, engine to battery ground, or ignition module. All of those can show problems when the engine gets hot.

Good luck,
