1984 ford bronco in alaska (-22 degrees right now). Got in the truck to start it. Turned the key and i heard a crack. The ignition cylinder broke. Trying to replace this (14$ part hooray!!!). Can't seem to get the old one out. There is a small pin that is on the cylinder lock that holds it in place in the column. I've been playing with my new one figuring the whole thing out and i just can't seem to get the old one out. Anyone done this that has any tips or tricks? Thanks!

with key in the ign turn it to the run position then you will b able to push the small pin IN with an ice pick or small ***** driver. pull the ign cyl out with out turning it backwards. are you sure it was the cylinder that broke and not the actuator rod
