Yesterday I changed out my voltage regulator ( I unfortunately fried a 1 year old battery...oh well). When I was finished replacing the battery and the voltage regulator it started up and ran great. I went out to start it today and here is what happened...it turned over very strong (6-8 turns) with plenty of power and juice but didn't catch...not unusual. I turned the key again and all I heard was a very rapid clicking...like the solenoid clicking...I checked the battery and it was showing 12.5 volts. So I tried again and nothing....nothing at all...no clicking or anything. Did my solenoid get damaged in all of the above?

Try jumping the pick terminal, (the one with the small red with blue stripe wire), to the battery +. If that works and the starter still does not turn the engine over, check the voltage at the starter side of the coil to see if you have 12.5 volts there. If that is OK, then you probably have a bad b attery to engine block ground connection, (Remove, clean the lug and engine block area the lug contacts with a light sand paper, re attach and try then.

Good luck,

:)>-
