This is my summer project. I have a 82 bronco that was turning over. but not starting. i just replaced the key switch because it brokewhile trying to start it. and now when i turn the key to the start position i get nothing, starter wont kick just some lights and the interior buzzer. so i tried an old trick i learned back in the day. i placed a jumper on the starter relay( i think that is what it is called) to get it to crank. still nothing. (even poured som gas down the carb) i pulled a plug and no spark, it didn't groung out. it has been sitting for a few months. and before that is sat for a few years with out being run. Any ideas would help alot.

thanks.

If all you did was replace the ignition switch on the lower section of the steering column, it is probably out of adjustment. Does the starter turn over? Two contacts rovide power to the coil and ignition module. A start contact which takes 12v direct to the coil and a run contact that takes voltage to the coil via a ballast (Resistance wire).

Manul shift or automatic?
