1970 Sport Bronco Before the Restoration...

I originally inquired about an excellent condition 1970 Ford Bronco Wagon that I had seen around my home town of Blissfield , MI. It was owned by Brian Duckworth who had brought it back with him from Washington State where he had purchased it 2 years prior. For a mere $1,500 I took it home, but it was far from where it needed to be to hang with the heavily modified Jeeps that frequent trails of northern Michigan and the Silver Lake sand dunes.

Initially this fine Early Bronco was equipped with a 3.5” Rancho suspension system, the engine was warmed up a little with a Holley carburetor and Hooker headers as well as having the Hurst floor shifter conversion and a roll bar which I immediately added a front cage to. I also installed a Kayline soft top, 5 point RJS harnesses, a Smittybuilt front bumper, and a Detroit locker with 4.10 gears.

The truck was my daily driver for almost a year until a brake failure caused a rollover, thus initiating a complete ground up restoration with all of the work done by none other than myself.
