I have to try. . . If it doesn't sell for a reasonable amount, I'll just sit on it until I can replace the block. . . The heads are still pristine.

This is a HUGE 1978 Ford Bronco used almost exclusively for offroading according to original seller.

40 Super Swamper tires on 15" rims

Superlift (not sure how big it is over original)

Custom Roll Bar

Clean title

This truck was purchased on ebay about a four months ago.

This truck was said to be mainly used for off-roading. I never got the opportunity to test that.

IF YOU WANT SOMETHING PRETTY LOOK ELSEWHERE. The truck still has potential.

I've had the truck for less than 5 months, and have had the drive shaft rebuilt, and the alternator replaced. In addition the heads have been resurfaced, timing belt work, starter replaced. I have mechanics receipts for all.

THE BAD:
Body is fairly sound, but has lots of rust. Previous owner tried to install "alarm", so in cab wiring needs a onceover.

The vehicle is NOT in running condition. Radiator is blown. Heads recently resurfaced, but I pushed the engine too hard trying to do highways speeds, and blew a piston. I cant afford a new engine so I have to sell.

VEHICLE IS NOT DRIVEABLE.
**THE TOPPER IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. VEHICLE NO LONGER HAS TOP.**

PAID $1030 FOR THE TRUCK ON EBAY
PAID $600 TO REBUILD DRIVE SHAFT
PAID $1095 TO HAVE IT SHIPPED TO FL FROM KS
PAID APPROX $2400 FOR HEAD RESURFACING/STARTER/TIMING BELT/LABOUR

Hey can I be your mechanic/machinist???? $600 for a driveshaft being rebuilt is RIDICULOUS. I could have one custom made down here for $180. And $2400 to have the heads resurfaced??? You coulda bought a crate motor 351 for about the same price, made more power and had a brand new motor, or better yet, you coulda swapped in a big block and STILL had a grand to get some heads and a cam.

It sounds to me like you're trying to justify an outrageous price for a semi-decent bronco. its a nice truck but you paid way to much for the work you've had done.

with that being said, i like the potential of the truck and would be interested, but i don't see a price anywhere. how much are you asking for it?

The driveshaft price seems fair- I have a receipt for $160, from N & M Transmissionin Neenah, WI, for a repair, that was welding the yoke and new u-joints- an estimate for $1100, from Accurate Auto Center in Tomball TX, to build and install a new one- and then the one that finally went on my truck was $569.50 ordered from McFalls Transmission in Colorado Springs CO- as you go up in the air things get expensive

PAID APPROX $2400 FOR HEAD *****RESURFACING*****STARTER*******TIMING BELT*****LABOUR. I have receipts to back up any claims made . $180 for a rebuilt driveshaft? Tire World in COLORADO SPRINGS, CO thought different. The heads being resurfaced? 1900 for parts and labour, and 500 addtnl for starter, timing belt, u-joint. . . I have since searched for a new block--found one rebuilt for 1131, and less than 1600 including new heads. . . Hindsight is 20/20--hell 20/15. I'm not a mechanic/machinist. i bought a truck that looked like fun on eBay, and have been paying for it ever since. If you're interested make an offer. I had a set number initially--no takers... Any reasonable offer will be considered. (813) 313-0610

You'd probably be better off parting it out, Wheels tires, Front & Rear ends, T-case, Tranny, etc.... Does it have lockers or anything in the Diffs or are they just open? Should have left it in Kansas.

Man that sux .... most of the time people buy these thing is to dump money into them and it really a lose lose situation because , your the only one that really knows what has been done... i bought mine for 1800.00 dollars and it had the 6 inch life and the 3 inch body .... and tranny rebuilt but the guy couldnt get ne takers so he had to sell it for dirty cheap , when some body looks at a truck they look at the miles on the engine even if it has been rebuilt because it has serious wear and tear on the bearing bushling and other nit picks after i bought mine i hasd to redo the whole front end for 1100.00 dollars and that almost what i paid for the god damn thing .... your really not going to get ne thing out of it unless you part it out do the rear end and work out from there you could probably sell those tire to a teenager for pretty good and sell everything that has been rebuilt as is ... you not gonna get nothing out of it sellin as a while truck sorry man but goodluck ne way
