i have been trying for the past 5 days to get all of the lights and elctrical stuff working so far i have the break lights to work, the high beams and amber lights. i dont have the turning, hazord or the low beam except for the right head light. i think the wiring in the stering colom does not work but it could be anything. if i could find a wiring diagram then i could fix things but my luck is runing out

Well, it seems like you have a good start...
If your hi beams work on both lights, and only your right low beam works, chances are you either have a burned out low beam, or a break in the circuit between the hi/ low switch and the left headlight (very easy to trace)
Have you replaced BOTH flasher units with known good working ones???
If your brake lights are wired properly, and are working properly, then the signal switch is most likely fine. (the brake light power travels through the signal switch on its way to the taillights)
I hope this helps a little... its for a 66, but your truck should be similar.
