How much lift if any did you get from the shackle flip? Also how strong is it going to be? Looks a little weak to me but I have not seen it done before so I am not sure.

re curved the springs as well, figure I got about 5" at the axel with just the flip. I used frt. spring hangers & factory rear shackles, with 5/8" inside dia. bushings. we'll see how strong it is. I'll keep u posted on how it works. I have a total of 10" of lift, with no blocks, just the pinion angle shims. :)>-

With using the front spring hanger as your shackle bracket you should have gained more than 5 inches,is that because you had to move it so far forward??.
Know how it flex's yet??
If ya don't get hung up once in awhile your not wheelin hard enough

When I mesured the overall drop you only get 12" of drop at the rear of the spring, when you take into consideration that the axel is almost 2/3 of the way up the spring, 5" is the lift. I used 3/4 ton main leafs, which are an inch longer than 1/2 ton/ bronco springs, in front of the axel, thus keeping the center of the housing in line, then moved the spring hanger appropriately, to compensate for the spring arc. Moving the hanger forward had no effect on the lift generated by the shackle flip. :)>- And no I haven't tested it yet , I finally got the rear tires back on it tonite, will finish the frt. tomorrow & test & report.

So just a quik update: performing great, still don't have my new driveshafts, so I haven't been hardcore offroading yet, need rear swaybars, & miss my traction bars. soon to have both those issuse rectifyed. Been wking at the yard with it , in lots of mud ! Wow can you ever feel the frt. posi wking. pulled the body off the donor truck for cowboydan's 87/78 combo bronco, with it . The power & traction is incredable, it's smooth to drive & traks well. Overall very pleased with the mods so far. :D/

Finally got my rear traction links made & installed. I now have a leaf spring modified 4 link rear susp. & it works great! The 460 is out of the donor vehicle, & is getting preped to go in. Of course we had to go & test the new rear end, so here's some pics & a couple of vids. Oh the jeep in the pics is more Bronco than jeep, it has a 460 c6 205, dana 60 rear, 44 frt. WIKID TRUCK!
