Pulled engine to replace cracked flywheel causing vibration. Afterwards, tranny starts shifting hard and longer. 35 mph to second and 60 into high. Downshifts hard. Replaced modulator valve but seemed to not help much. Manually shift its smooth into second but longer at 60 for high but smoother. Still shifts hard when taking off in drive. New filter and fluid was replaced. Bolts were left loose in bell housing that caused space and result in the crack flywheel.

Hello Hollywood,

Welcome!

Assuming it's a c6 due to "modulator".

See if trans fluid is in modulator vacuum hose, if so, the modulator's diaphram is ruptured.  If not, ensure there is at least 15in vacuum from engine vacuum port to modulator.
