So I finished installing the rough country lift. I have to replace the long tie rid during because the old one broke when tighting the nut back. I drove the truck and saw the tires were toe outward when backing up. And then they were toed inward when driving forward. Is there something I can do or is it better for me to let the alignment shop deal with it.

My 93 had a recently installed Rough Country lift installed before I bought it.  After I drove it home both front tires 33 x 12.5 BFG's were angled in at the top.  The very first thing I did was drive it to my mechanic and have the whole setup inspected.  Turns out all 4 ball joints were shot, also the radius rod bushings were gone.  He did the rod bushings and sent it out to an alignment shop.  They replaced the ball joints with eccentrics on the uppers as I recall.  Then they adjusted the slop in the steering box and aligned it.  After all this, the front tires would rub on the inside lower corner of the front bumper when backing up and turning.  A grinder with a cutoff wheel fixed that and I've had no more issues with the lift.  I will say tho, the Rough Country front springs don't make me happy at all!  Guess thats why their from Rough Country!

So I replaced all four ball joints and also the radius arm bushings as well. And installed the drop Pittman arm also. And yea the springs are very thick and seem strong but not the greatest fit.
