So I am putting in tons of new parts on my '96 with dual shocks

I see these 1 1/2- 2" Lift springs at bronco graveyard......but they are about 2" bigger and I have to compress them about 3" to get them in. (I wish the catalog  and/or website said spring compressor req)

So I look for a spring compressor and all the ones I find have 'hooks' that are too small for the wire diameter. I called superlift who makes them and they say tons of MORE components have to be unbolted and then I still need a way to 'squeeze' the whole thing back together

I threw my hands up in the air and went with the stock springs. I would have liked the slight lift to level things out but it just seemed like a boat load of extra work

....Am I missing something or was this a good decision?

If your just looking to level the front just use a spacer.

Unless your going to be off-roading then I would use spring that is 2" longer. Don't forget that you need to get your camber and toe re-aligned when your done.

As for a spring compressor you might need to make your own using some nuts, flat steel and all-thread. I see some compressors that people have used on trucks but I wonder how safe they felt.

I dropped the sway bar link on one side and the opening for the spring dropped down a ton

I saw someone on one of these sites mention this, and I think they were 100% correct

A bit too late for me right now anyway
