Tire Circumference Differences, Could Cause Pulling Problems, Ford 4x4; "...One that I've heard of through Ford sources is measuring the circumference of the rear tires and comparing them to each other. Tires, if it's a four-wheel drive, the four tires need to match. I know that sometimes it's a real tough sell to tell a customer that this is what he needs before you can accurately diagnose the problem, and sometimes you have to do the best you can with the hand you're dealt. But we all have dealt with the reality that even a set of high quality new major brand tires can affect vehicle..." Miesk5 Note; Do not just compare tire sidewall labels, you must measure each tire across the center of the tire. With Bronco jacked up on the corner being measured. A stagger gauge will let you do this with the vehicle on the ground in 5 minutes. The other way to measure cirumference while still on the Bronco is to mark the tire & surface with chalk at the bottom of the tire, and then roll forward until the mark is at the bottom again & mark the ground there; measure the distance between the 2 marks on the surface, and divide by 3.14 to get your diameter. The tires must match in diameter to .250".
