Background of my truck... 1995 351w 195k on original motor with 8 lug conversion 6 inch lift on 35s. picked it up from a Subaru dealership i sold cars at for pretty cheap.

Sunday i went out mudding with friends. Had to jump a quad with the bronco when we jumped the quad it killed my truck. started back up with no issues. drove the rest of the day fine. Monday morning went to start it to go to work and had no power to anything... dome light wouldn't even light up. used a jump box to get her going. after work she started up just fine stopped to talk to a friend and then no power again. after 30 min finally got it to jump start off a super duty. got home and while rolling up my windows the voltage dropped and it died. went out 2 hours later and i accidentally left my lights on turned them off. went out the next morning and it started like nothing ever happened great truck but dont know where to go from here.

Yo amccall,

Welcome!

Start with the battery. Could be a dead cell, etc. Sometimes, a battery will have just one cell go bad or short out especially when doing high jumps. When this happens, the battery will seem fully charged, but fail to start the Bronco, or it may start the Bronco right after charging, but then fail to crank. I had a dead cell that did same; no crank then after turning to start a few times, it would crank. So have it load tested for free at NAPA, etc.

Inspect battery clamps, cables and wire strands for corrosion, damage or looseness. Include ground cables from battery post to engine, etc. and positive cable from battery to relay to starter.

Is relay securely mounted to a Rust/Grime Less section of fender?

I would especially check the battery to engine and frame cable.  Remove the connections at both ends, clean the surface area where they attach and re connect.  Then cover with dialectic grease to give it a little water protection.  Check the cable lugs where the wire attaches to the lug, if any corrosion at that point replace the cable.  The cable and connection to the engine is a common location for corrosion and creating on again off again results.

Also, there should be a connection from the driver side of the intake manifold to the firewall.  Do the same for it.

:)>-

Yo amccall,

Thanks for the update.

Fyi,

1995 Bronco Dealer Brochure by Ford @ http://www.supermotors.net/registry/3549/79188

Site is often slow to open.

Check with local dealer to see if cruise control, if equipped recall for 94-96 Bronco, 94-02 F-150, etc. was performed, have VIN ready. "Summary: ON CERTAIN PICKUP TRUCKS, PASSENGER VEHICLES, SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES, AND MOTOR HOMES CHASSIS, THE SPEED CONTROL DEACTIVATION SWITCH MAY, UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS, LEAK INTERNALLY AND THEN OVERHEAT, SMOKE, OR BURN. THIS COULD RESULT IN AN UNDERHOOD FIRE."

Here are some wiring diagrams (partial, 86 through 96) and Technical Service Bulletins, (80 through 96) same as by Ford;
