When upgrading to the atlas II 4spd transfer case, is it recommended to also change the drive shaft? I'm pretty new to this, what other parts would you recommend changing when doing this mod, can it affect the transmission or axle/diff by adding extra stress

The Atlas is 5-6" fatter (depending) soooo., ya, the rear dr. shaft would have to be shortened.

The front dr. shaft (don't know)  may, or may not need altering.

A body lift is almost a must.

Some NP435 T-case adaptors won't work with the Atlas. May need a new adapter.

Engine, tires, & the driver cause any un-needed stress..., not the T-case.
