hello my wife and I were recently given a 1975 or 76 bronco by her grandfather I have customized vehicles before and done minor fab work but we are far from that at this point I do however have a couple of questions like the door of the bronco has one year on it and the title has another which should I go off of to buy parts also I found when I went and picked it up the rear drive line is missing and I do intend to put a lift on it eventually and have herd that I will have to buy extended lines to run a 3.5" lift I was curious to know if I could go ahead and run the longer shaft at stock height so I don't buy one then have to buy another when the time comes to put the lift on

thanks

Welcome CJ..,

Which door are you refering to..?  The entry door OR the glove box door..?

(A lot of '75-'76-'77 parts are the same)

Extened lines...?  Assume you're refering to the rubber brake lines..?

Yes.., these will likely be req. especially if you go off-road.

Sometimes the emergency brake (left-n-right) cables as well.

RULE OF THUMB --- For every major change to your rig.., 3+- other changes will be necessary.

For example.., steering needs to be tweeked after a lift.

How long B4 you do the lift..?  Talk to a driveline shop. They can extend your stock D-shaft

as needed at a later date for a small fee.

Factory put old stock on newer vehicles.., no biggie.

Also., rigs built in '75 were sold in '76. Just like all auto mfgrs.

Also.., Prev. owners sometimes buy used parts that are interchangable.

Look on the TOP of the frame.., just below the starter.  There's a number stamped there

that likely matches your title.

If you would, fill-in your info pages so we'll know where you are & what you have, etc. to avoid confusion.

(see mine left & below)

Don't know where you are..., shops have diff. prices at diff. locations.

Talk to them.., they may give you a loaner if you agree to buy a new one for your "lifted" rig

when ready.

What a gift!!!  that is awesome, congrats.  Mine is an early 73 with lots of 72 parts in it.  Which is a pain because this is the year the switched from T-shift transfer case to J shift.
