I just drove out to WY for some off-road fly fishing... long road trip back to VA and I started noticing a coolant smell when the defrost was turned on. I think it may the a bad heater core, but when it went bad on my old '82, I had liquid dripping from under the glove compartment. Any way to verify or any thoughts on what else may be going wrong? I thought maybe a dirty breather filter, but I do not think the '96 has one. Thanks

Yo T,

I'll move this thread to General Ford Bronco Discussion, 80-96 Ford Bronco.

Inspect passenger footwell carpet or mat for wetness.

I've seen some hoses leak @ firewall, with maple syrup aroma getting into the cab because the sealant around the hoses were gone, due to mice or when hoses were previously changed.

It's easy to drop the glove box & inspect.
