hope everyone is doing well......im having a problem  getting aftermarket clearance lights to work . I mounted 5 overhead SINGLE  WIRE  lights into my FIBERGLASS  overhead visor..... after doing all the wiring the lights still don't work  even though the red light is lighting on the switch that came with the lights. so after reading up I found out each light has two mounting screws and each light  has a brass washer that one of the mounting screws must go through and this is suppose to  act like the ground when lights are being mounted to a metal roof or wherever they are going to be placed on the truck.as long as its metal.  im open to all suggestions  but what I was wondering is .since the mounting screws came through the bottom of the  fiberglass visor  can I  hook a countinous wire from each mounting ***** with the brass washer and  ground it to the frame and would that make the lights come on.....thanks mike

If the instructions require the ***** with the brass washer to be grounded, you need to find a way to do that.  Missing a ground will prevent the lights from working.  Any place you can pick up ground should work, but I would try to make it as clean as possible.

thanks  for the input that's why I  was thinking of putting a continous  wire from each  of the screws with the brass washer that goes thru the fiberglass visor

and mounting it too the body and it will look clean too

just an update  on the lights.....took the sun visor off turned it upside down and neatly ran a continuous wire to the bottom of each ***** with the brass washer  and put a black electrical ***** cap on each one hooked the ground to a ***** where the sun visor is screwed into the roof of the truck. that acted as the ground  hooked the power lead up and presto  they look awesum..
