hello i am looking for some help to find a replacement motor for my 1990 bronco with a 351w in it right now. i have a rebuilt e4od transmission with a 9 inch in the rear. i have look on craigslist to find one but have not been able to find one that i like. i have also looked at jasper engines, but have had bad reviews about them and there prices are to high for me. i have also been to a couple of local machine shops the build them and all have been priced over 5 grand. I need help to find a site or places that sell good motors for around 2 grand. any other advice with replacing the motor would be very helpful also.

1st. be sure your eng. is actualy sick/run-out.

Don't know where you are but..,

Check auto parts for "crate engines"

Check local wrecking yards for "good" used engines. They come with warranty as well.

I just did a complete rebuil on my 351w. I had the short block done at done with bore/hone, surface decking, line hone and cam bearings, crank ground .010, rods resized, new rod bolts, new pistons, new rings, new bearings, at a really good shop for $1250. I bought a 493/512 lift comp 4x4 cam and lifter for $195 and installed and degreed it myself. New double roller comp cams timming set for $40. New weiand stethoscope for 200. Gt40p heads from a junk yard for 60 and valves done for 200 and trick flow kit installed at 150 for the set. New wires for 60 and ps92 coil for 85. And fancy valve covers for 100. All in all, about 2400 (after hardware store trips) for a pretty hot 351w. I did all the assembly in my garage.
