Hey guys. Newbie here. I own a 1983 Full size Bronco and having trouble with the steering box bolts always breaking. I have to replace them every 12 months with new bolts before they break. Is there something I can do or buy to strengthen the bolts and stop the steering box from flexing to cause this?

A littl help would be muchly appreciated. Cheers.

You are probably using #5 bolts which are not suited for the application, use #8 bolts and nuts.  To my recolection it was originally attached with rivits.  Sounds like it was replaced at one time or another.

PS, check the size of the holes in the frame the constant moving may have ovaled them out.  You may need to correct that and use bolts that just barely fit through the hole to prevent it from happening again.
