I have a 72 Ford bronco. The temp gauge warms up to normal and then falls right away to cold again. I have changed the sensor and changed the wire leading to the sensor. All other gauges work fine can someone help me please.

You may need to clean the threads (in the manifold) at the sending unit.

I don't know why but sometimes teflon tape also,  can interfere with a good ground @ screwing in the sending unit.

If the gage pegged due to grounding wire, the gage is likely good.

However, don't hold the wire to ground much more than a momentery touch.

I don't have Teflon tape on it. Thanks for getting back to me.
