4 inch lift

Hello I have a 94 bronco and I wanted to run some 33x12.50 Mickey Thompson baja mtz I was orginally going to with a 2.5 lift but I've seen someone with a 4inch lift with 33s that looked good my concern is I don't want to big of a gap in between the wheels and tires so is a 4inch going to look good or have to big of a gap?

Gap between the wheels and tires, HUMMMMMmmm.....  Not sure what your talking about there.  Here is my 93 with a 4" lift and 33x 12.5's.  I'm happy with the look.  Now I need to hack off about 2" from the lower corners of the front bumper.  The tires hit when backing up and turning...

I was talking about between the tires and the truck but yours looks really good do I need to buy the sway arm drop bracket and brake line extension too? I was afraid the 2.5 would look like I'm barley tucking the tires

I don't know about the sway arm bracket, or the brake lines.  I bought this Bronco last October.  It was for sale on consignment at a used car dealer.  The 4" lift, wheels and tires were on it then.  I found receipts for a 4" lift kit and instulation and many other things in the counsole.  I did sink $600.00 getting the front suspension right.  It needed ball joints and the steering gearbox rebuilt.  Eccentric's were installed on the ball joints so that it could be aligned correctly.  Money well spent, it drives like new.  What I guess I'm saying is that a good  (complete) lift kit should include everything you would need to complete the job right.  I think mine came from Rough Country.  I have Rough Country shocks all around and HATE THEM!  It rides like a cement mixer!  I just discovered a broken dashboard supporting mount bracked that has broken from the ride.  They are going away very soon! 

As far as the tires clearing I suppose you need to look at rims designed to fit the Bronco and all should be well there.  Time for you to do some internet digging for info I'd say.  Good luck, Brian

I'm gonna use the stock bullet hole Rims save money and they look good to me but thanks I would hope the kit comes with everything but I've herd from a Lot of people rough country's ride rough thanks for the info man

Nice rig....what has helped for clearance for some others is shimming the front bumper forward.

Pappasmurf....the higher the lift the bigger the gap between the tires and body.  A valid question on deciding the lift, would be what are you using the Bronc for ?

Thanks guys and i mostly use my truck on the highway but I do mud ride it some I mostly want more clearance and a better look but not to much but from what I've seen is the 4inch is the way I want to go

Hey papa,

I would stick with the 2.5. The more you change the height the more things need to change. These rigs were built to take reasonable off road driving anyway.

But that is just my opinion. Whatever you decide just be sure it's safe.
