Hello, just got a 68 bronco and drums are shot. Looking to upgrade to disc all around. Wondering if it's worth spending the money on a base wildwood kit or just go with the generic kits. 50/50 off road and street. Thanks in advance!

Hi DK5.., welcome..!

I think it was someone on this site that mentioned the one disadvantage to discs.

However, I can't remember what it was. :huh:   Overall, discs are fine.

Have not heard any complaints about any of the kits..., except;

Some do not have "emergency brake" capability.

Getting the right pressure (front more than back) has been mentioned.

Porportioning valves come with most kits.

Side note: I have not switched to disc as my rig stops as good or better than my F-150

and should when the drum set-up is kept up to spec.

Have fun out there..!!

The wildwoods are nice but I cant see the money. You can buy a 4 wheel master disc break kit for about the same price as one wildwood!!! AND THEY WORK GREAT. (Tbp or Wild Horses)
