Hello,

My 89 Ford Bronco runs great. However, the engine light goes on after about 25 minutes of driving. The Bronco has a new idle air control sensor and new throttle body position sensor. Also, the Throttle Body has been flushed.

Within the last year it has a new HEGO sensor (Bosch).

It also does NOT have a catalytic converter.

What would throw up a 41 code?

And what would make the engine light go on?

The above maintenance solved a racing idle problem after truck was warmed up. Now the only issue is the engine light and the 41 code.

Otherwise the truck runs great. It has 108,000 miles on it.

Thanks.

Code 41 indicates a lean condition in the right bank.  This can be from a vacuum leak, dirty injector/s on that side, Possibly low fuel pressure ( that should manifest it's self in both banks) or EGR valve dirty/ sticking.

That is the standard thinking...however I have had that code displayed from a faulty MAF sensor, and the pick up coil in the dizzy!

I would look for vacuum leaks first, and check the EGR.

Good Luck.
