I am looking to replace the Shocks/Coils/Leaf Springs. I have no experience with any suspension replacement and I am curious if anyone has any recommendations on parts, tips on replacement, etc.

I also am wondering how I know which size I will need. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Hi PJ..,

You always seem to catch me huh..?

Both www.tomsbroncoparts.com   & www.Wildhorses4x4.com  have great state-of-the-art lifts for the EB.

---Both are in Calif.---

It's a 3-4 banana job and SAFTY is job 1..! (Can't have too many supports/jack-stands under the frame)

I strongly recommend the 11pak rear leafs for ride comfort.

All EB stores have dual shock set-ups but it's NOT necessary..., especially with todays good shocks.

Lift size all depends on your usage.  I did the 2.5 inch as I do rough to really rough trails & hill climbs.

Big lifts are more for rock-crushing & usually req. several other changes to get the alignment &

driveshaft angles back in a safe setting.

And, of course the price goes up, the bigger the lift. (more parts/mods, etc.)

I had never done this B/4 & now I've done 3.

The front is a bit tricky & one tough part is getting the radius arms parallel or it could cause the

truck to sit lop-sided.  In fact.., measure ALL FOR CORNERS B/4 you start as there could be a

low point already. If so.., it's not always likely it will go away with the new springs, etc.

Let me know what you decide & I'll give you some more pointers.

P.S. Several other EB stores have the lifts however, I have no experience with them.

It's all fun..!

B
