Well, if I didn't have any bad luck, I wouldn't have any luck at all.Well I got the heads back on my truck which were gt40 heads and I got the timing set and took the truck for a ride and punch it and sheared off the bolts at the transfer case. I got that fixed and took it on the road the next morning and at about 60 mph, it starts smoking like a chimney. It didn't do that with the aluminum heads that got F-up by Autozone. I changed the pcv valve and it seemed like it smoked less. So, what else can I check that might be a relatively cheap fix before I call this guy that I trust who rebuilt my motor originally and sold me the gt40 heads and hope to God that he replaced the valve seats.I'm tired of pulling this thing apart and putting it back together but I really like my truck. So, somebody give me some good news and tell it probably isn't the worst.it is a 92 ford bronco with a 351.

Looks like white smoke and the smell of oil burning but only smokes on higher rpm, 60mph or faster

Smell & a bit more blueish color would be oil.

Leaking valve guides & seals would pass oil to cylinders.., not the seats.

If it didn't smoke with the other heads.., the head change is likely the issue.

Bully Bob, since the heads gt40 heads are technically set up for a 302 engine, would I use intake gaskets for a 302 or for a 351engine?

By me.., sorry, I'm not up on performance mods...

Some of the guys on this board may be or you might Google Ford 351 mods.

However, have you determined it is, in fact, the head gaskets..?  Did the guy you got the heads

from confirm he replaced the valve guides & seals..?

The seals can be replaced on the engine if in fact, these heads have seals.

Sorry, wish I could help more,

B
