My less then 10,000 mile rebuilt AOD is buzzing and can feel it though the column so I am thinking about doing a 5 speed swap next summer,the trans still works fine and the fluid is still red but is getting annoying. Since its now 2wd it will be easy to do and will be on the hunt for a running parts truck,since the M5OD has a almost granny gear first I am going to stick in a 9 inch with tall gears and just use 5th on the highway.
