What is the best running gear ratio in the dana 44 front axel for offroad and highway. Just purchased my first EB yesterday.

I would say (off road & highway) the gearing that's in there now.., assuming it's stock...
It likely has 411's or maybe 350's. Remember, whatever you do to the front, the rear has to be the same or many things will break.
You'll have to come forth with a whole lot more info. about your rig so as to get "accurate" help here. :-B
