Hey fellas,I finally got my light issues fixed, all it took was a new turn signal switch. Now I had a 8 track in the dash.I removed it today now a red and black wire fell out from under the dash. Most all of the insulation was dry rotted and fell off. Now the heater motor wont come on.with the key on and switch on the bare wire gets hot.I need a easy to fix this.any Ideas? and before you ask I looked for a wiring diagram but couldn't find one.

"...a red and black wire fell out.."

Not sure if this means two wires or --- a red wire with a black stripe.?

However, at the end of the day, it's a "crap-shoot" with wire colors on these older rigs. Who knows what PO's wired up in there..??

My heater has two wires--- one orange & one blue.

"with the key on and switch on the bare wire gets hot"

If "switch on" means the heater switch.., be very careful until you trace that wire.., or eliminate it. Could be shorting to ground further up under the dash.

Wish we could be more help. :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
