I am going to replace the ball joints in my 78. Does anybody know if the ball joints are going to come off with the knuckle, or if they will remain on the axle. I have seen both ways, hopefully they come off with the knuckle. Any input would be appriciated.

If I recall they will be pressed into the axle. Usually use a large "C" clamp and an approiately sized piece of pipe to remove and re-install them. may want to borrow the tool from Autozone or the like.
