Hi am am Chris Collier, Alias moparcolt on the internet!!
I am thinking of strating a new project, and would like to say Hi and get a little info as well. I am thinking of building a 4x4 van, and it looks like a dana 44 front axle for an early bronco may be the item I need to make it work. Can you tell me what is the bolt pattern for these units? the track width of a 1966-1977 bronco, and the width of the from axle if it is different from the track width? Also the same for a 1977 ford f150 4x4 truck. the van is not a ford but I think the parts may fit!!!just starting to research it though!
Thanks a bunch!
Chris

The bolt pattern is 5 x 5.5. The only thing I could find is the width of axle which is 57.4". Not sure if its the same for the '77 F-150. Not sure about track width.

The fullsize Ford vans used a Ford 9" rear axle and Dana44 front from the F-series trucks. Is this a fullsize van or a smaller mini-type? I just measured the axle width on my 78 fullsize Bronco for another thread and got 67'' from flange to flange. you can adjust the track width some with different offset rims or wheel spacers if needed. More common option for your build though is to mount the body onto an existing chassis from a bronco or truck to save from doing a ton of fabrication. JSM84
