ok guys heres the story, when i was a kid my parents bought a brand spanking 1989 Bronco XLT with a 5.0 5speed trans 4x4. the exterior color was two tone black are grey/silver. the Interior was Red. when my parent divorced the bronco was ordered by the judge to be sold. long story short 8 years later here i am looking for it. According to carfax the truck was last titled on 11/22/2006 with 175,906 as the mileage in Vincentown, NJ. it was purchased at what appears to be some sort of auction. ok so the down side is here i can't find any pictures but this truck was one is a million here. it was virtually rust free. it had a dent in the front of the pass side fender. i can only hope its the same as it was when it sold. of course the owners manual went with the truck and inside was the owners card...now im not going to put my fathers name out there but i do have the VIN which is 1FMEU15N0KLA27877. if you know anything about this trucks where abouts please email me at thejerseydevil86@aim.com thank you

Hey I put in your VIN on NJs dmv web site and clicked on something like view inspection report and this is what it said...The day it was LAST inspected was 4/7/07.It also tells you where it was done.Maybe that Andrews car care can point you in the right direction.Their phone IS listed...Good Luck...Mike

LMAO wow this is just too funny!!

My truck, 89 Bronco XLT loaded, two tone Black/Gray paint, dark gray interior, automatic 5.0.. My parents bought it brand new too in 89 in CA. She told me growing up she would pass it down to me before she passes away..unfortantly she did two years ago. Thought I was the only one..

Hope ya find the truck. As stated above, VIN at dmv gives you inspection last.. the car care place will not only tell you the general area, but they may help you. If anything, have THEM call the customer, tell them the story, and leave your number with them (privacy laws may prevent them from giving you their address and such..)

Actually..now that I think of it, my friend Sam's parents owned a Bronco, same details though I never saw the interior.. She lives in Vincestown. If I can find her number again, I'll text her and find out the full details.

I used to live in Mount Holly, NJ so I know a ton of people out in South Jersey (Street races back in the day when I was young lol)

92,
Did you read what muddrivermike spent his time & effort to find for you?
All you need to do is to call the garage & tell them the short version of the story.

Anyhowz, the Bronco seems to be well-taked care of since it did pass NJs strict emission testing in 2007, but it is past-due now.

If you or someone you know is friends with a cop, have them run the tag. If its still valid, they can get the name registered to it.
Almost anything can be fixed with a little know how, a case of beer, a roll of gorilla tape, and a really BIG hammer.

96 XLT 5.0, 3" single exhaust with flowmaster, WARN premium locking hubs,305/70/16 BFG All Terrains,3" body lift, 8.8 with Ford racing trac-lok, fast-trac soft-top, 170amp Alternator from Summit, a few rattles, couple squeaks, some dents, buncha crap I dont really need, but think is cool.

ok, I shoulda figured you were in contact w/Mike... Got caught up in some non-responders here and it spilt over. Sorry about that.
Suggest you try a Ford dealer and maybe they can run an Online Automotive Service Information System (OASIS) report;; "...accesses information stored in Ford databases to give access to vehicle information for 10 years (recalls will remain open until they are completed). An OASIS inquiry must be performed on every vehicle in for service. The information in OASIS includesGeneral Vehicle/Warranty Information: Enter the VIN to access Vehicle description (model year, engine size and calibration number, transmission and axle code); Warranty start date, build date, Open Field Service Actions (Recalls, CSPs, SSIs); ESP coverage, Warranty repair history, AWA repair counter..."by Ford motorcraftservice.com
You may get lucky if its been serviced at a Ford dealer for any recalls, etc.
Here is a recent OASIS Example;
DEALER: Bill Waits Countryside Auto Ma
WARRANTY CLAIM NUMBER: 109349 ODOMETER: 102309M
PART NUMBER PART DESCRIPTION QUANTITY
LABOR OP
CONDITION CODE
CONDITION DESC
000 59B01A
PERFORMED RECALL 59B01
Click Here for Full Warranty History
| On-line 1878
END OF OASIS REPORT FOR 1FTNW21P23EC6XXXX (miesk5 edit of VIN)

also sent you a PM on another OASIS resource, on-line.GL!

Yeah that OASIS report only shows whats in Fords history as long as it went to the dealer and was entered into the computer.Miesk5 is right,You need to run the tag if its still good to get the address.Im still trying on my end to find more info.If I can get to talk to one of the cops in my town that I know.Ill see if he can run it for me.I know most of the guys on the force here but the one "rookie" on the force is a good friend of my cousin. So I bullshit with him when I do see him.If I can get him to get me some info Ill get back to you on it.I just need a little time,It isnt like I see him every week though. No offence, but if your "bud" was to run a tag of a vehicle with no reason, not only would he loose his job, but he also shouldn't be a cop to begin with.

Anywho.. no new on my end. Sorry. But yeah, the best thing to do is contact the inspection shop that did the last inspection. If anything, they should be able to call and leave your number with the owner..

If anything, drive around that town in the neighborhoods and just look in everyones driveway lol

What the hell are you talking about? They sit on the side of the road all the time running tags with their laptop. And they pull people over all the time for whatever reason. So all he has to do is the same thing, run the tag and see who its registered to.Also Ive been pulled over for them doing the exact same thing, running tags.

Yes..they need a reason. Don't get all bent out of shape about it. It's common policy across all departments. They can not just sit in their patrol car, and run tags for the fun of it. They need a reason or have the vehicle infront of them for warrant checks. This however, is not a warrant check. This is more so a.."stalking"??

But go ahead and ask him..actually, don't just ask him, ask all of the officers in a group. ;)

They need a reason or have the vehicle infront of them for warrant checks. This however, is not a warrant check. This is more so a.."stalking"??

But go ahead and ask him..actually, don't just ask him, ask all of the officers in a group. ;)

Im not bent out of shape at all. From what Im told there is no record of what they look up on their laptop.BUT if they radio it then it gets kept tracked of.And they can use any reason to cover their asses like the person had a brake bulb out or something.IF I see him Ill ask him.Otherwise you can always go to a station and make something up like the person ran you off the road and you want to sign a ticket against him. That will get you an address,But I dont think that would go over so well with trying to possibilty get the owner to sell the bronco.

wow.. lol can we say false statment..

And yes, all data, video, radio is all documented and recorded. And every time infomration is ran, a reason must be entered into the computer as to why information was accessed to begin with.

Like I said, ask em. If they are smart, they won't run any information for personal reasons, or else they'll be without a job real quick, or extra added, unwanted pressure and stress from internal affairs watching their every move.

not to sound like an a$$ but can we stop going back and forth about this....if the officer is willing to do this it would help me out greatly....if not then i have to plea my case to the NJ DMV which isn't going to be easy, im trying my best to do this by word of mouth and this means a lot to me

It may be all recorded, but the question is, do they check it? It may be done, despite all moral and proffesional reasons, but is kept on the hush. Is it right? No. Are they supposed to do it? No. Can they? Yes. We are not supposed to speed, drive after a few beers, get out of tickets, cheat on taxes, rob, steal, murder, or anything else. But yet, It can happen. And to bend the rules for a good reason, I think is fair enough. At least the tax dollars go for good once in a while.
Almost anything can be fixed with a little know how, a case of beer, a roll of gorilla tape, and a really BIG hammer.

HAHAHA Were not supposed to drive after a few beers?!Does that include wheeling?I thought the it was legal to drive while drinking beers but only if your playing in the mud. :-" And remember my favorite saying,,,Its ok as long as you dont get caught. :-$
