What's the best way to remove the frame from the vent window so I can install a new pin? The pins on both my vents are rusted thru.

same problem here, in the chilton manual it says to remove the window from frame using a special glass and channel tool, its probably best to take them to a body shop, i'm sure they have one. i dont see purchasing a tool that you're use maybe once or twice in a lifetime depending on cost.

There's not a 'best' way because there's only 1 way. Take the vent window assembly out of the door & take it apart.
The tool is the equivalent of a sharpened heavy-bladed paint scraper that cuts the bond between the channel & the glass.
