Just curious, i see many people in search of bronco tailgates. Apparently they are an item i do not realize is so needed.
What does a tailgate cost new? VS. What kind of price are they going for here? that is, IF i opted to part with mine?
i know it depends on condition and blah blah blah.... so Used of course, Not show truck new, but not a rust bucket either.
just a solid 30 year old tailgate with no dents maybe some surface edge rust and faded clear coat.
Think more something you would be proud install after not having one at all

take the poll

I just wonder what the going rate is. this is NOT a tailgate For Sale Post

Well does it have the glass and is the motor in good working condition. That would be a good factor. I have been looking for a replacement tailgate with all parts still in it. But a new aftermarket tailgate shell from bronco graveyard is $275

Yeah then you add freight and shipping and handling rounding up to an even 400! Mine was $408 just for the new shell! Luckily the parts in my old one worked. I now own four tailgates... If anyone in eastern NC needs a new one I have a shell that is new, it was shipped to me from the factory and I wasnt satisfied with it because the bottom lips were bent, after sending me another, they never asked for this one in return. That was 6 months ago...

about 5 years ago. I had to pay $300 for one out of a junk yard--it did have a motor in it--no window. All together I have $450 on just the tailgate and window. The paint job was extra. I had to pay $40 for a quart of red paint. Almost crapped my pants on that one. I have heard it is really high now
