Does anyone know or know where I can find out what the carpet or the insulation from the 78 bronco is made out of? Or how about the 1/4s insulation? The reason I ask is I doubt its because of this but Saturday I pulled out the carpet and insulation out of the back of my truck and now I'm feeling pretty ill.. I went to the doctor and she said that I had minor strep throat, but that doesn't explain the reason why my stomach hurts so bad... I'm just curious if there was anything in the carpet or the insulation that I should be worried about. If anyone can help please let me know thanks..

The carpet is made from synthetic fibers. like rayon or polyester. it's possible that some type of mold or mildew in the old carpet made you ill rather than the carpet itself. A simple face mask to keep dust out of your mouth & nose is a good thing to wear when doing work with old carpet. JSM84
