I have a 77 with a c4 auto trans. my reverse lights are not working. i found the neutral safety switch or backup light switch on the side of the trans. it looks like the wires or wire was cut. it seemed to only have one wire coming from this area. i was wondering where does the wire or wires go to after it leaves the transmission area? Im going to order a new saftey switch but im not sure where to plug it in to after i mount it to the side of the trans.
Thanks, joe

joe- according the '77 wiring schematic, the wire leading from backup lamp switch goes to the backup lights themselves. should be a black/red wire, and the same wire that goes to the switch comes from a power distribution source.
