I have a 79 Bronco with the Saginaw pump. Ive only had the truck for a week now, and Im new to the power steering problems. It'll turn about 3/4 of a turn of the steering wheel, then it hardens. I feel the ease of the power steering but it dies off quick. I dont really know where to start. Any suggestions?

it could be belt slippage, make sure belt isnt loose.

blead the sytem might be air in it
is the pump making noise?? it might be bad

Its not really making any noise at the pump, the belt is definately a little squeeky. Im going ahead and replacing that and Ill go from there. Thanks
